It was a very eventful and entertaining day of football yesterday, and it shook up the standings quite a bit. After putting in all of the week's results, the kinks in my computer rankings seem to have sorted themselves out (ie Cincy way too high and Texas way too low), providing a seemingly very accurate and unbiased evaluation of all of the teams. We have a new #1 this week, and it is.........
1. Oregon 2.893
2. Kansas St. 2.862
3. Alabama 2.836
4. Notre Dame 2.800
5. Florida 2.753
6. Texas A&M 2.715
7. Florida St. 2.698
8. LSU 2.666
9. Georgia 2.644
10. Oklahoma 2.607
11. Nebraska 2.589
12. Clemson 2.588
13. South Carolina 2.569
14. Stanford 2.567
15. Oregon St. 2.474
16. Ohio St. 2.452
17. Oklahoma St. 2.446
18. Mississippi St. 2.440
19. Texas 2.432
20. Michigan 2.430
21. UCLA 2.417
22. Louisiana Tech 2.407
23. Rutgers 2.405
24. Cincinnati 2.401
25. San Jose St. 2.397
Kansas st is 1 and oregon is 2, so i fell as if it is biased a tad, I HATE Kansas St. but they are in the Big 12 and have murdered, Texas Tech, West Virginia, and Oklahoma St. and also beat Oklahoma. Orgeon has beaten really only USC and let up 51 points against them. Also let up 34 points against Arkansas St. who isnt even an FBS team. My non-biased edge would give it to Kansas St. also my least favorite team in all of college football team.
ReplyDeleteWell first of all this ^ can't be biased because it's all based on stats. Texas Tech and West Virginia have shown themselves not to be very good at all. Oregon has killed Arizona, Washington (back in the BCS rankings), and Arizona St. as well who were all in the human polls at the time, and who I think would all beat Tech and Geno Smith University. And if you look more closely at the Arkansas St. game Oregon was up 50-3 halfway through the 2nd quarter and then took their starters out. And Ark St. is 7-3 and won 10 games last year.
DeleteBUT at the end of the day it won't matter who's 1 or 2 because they both get to the big game where Oregon will win by 25ish
And yes Arkansas St. is an FBS team they won the Sun Belt last year and are on track to do the same this year.
DeleteCome on where are the Trojans

Deletei think oregon is #1 by a lot just saying
ReplyDeleteThe only problem is Oregon's schedule has not been very tough. With that being said, they would be my clear number one. But scared for that defense against a high powered offense.
ReplyDeleteUSC has easily the best offense they'll face (Stanford, Oregon St, K-State/ND) all defensive teams. Only high powered offense left will be USC again or UCLA in the conference championship. And the D is not bad. Not dominant obviously after giving up 51, but a lot of the points given up in other games have been against backups. And I agree on the schedule, but the next 3 weeks will definitely change that.
